Track and Field Season

Coaching: 

Coaching is available all year on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons with Club Coaches at the University of the Sunshine Coast Athletics Track.  Coaches all have qualifications sanctioned by Queensland Athletics.  Coaching in all Track and Field disciplines is available.

Costs: 

The University of the Sunshine Coast charges $2.50 for usage of the tartan track. 

Most coaches charge a nominal fee and these fees differ between coaches. 

Club Meets:

The USCAC is committed to providing its members with regular competition in a social and fun atmosphere.  To reach this goal all Club members are asked to help and be involved in the running of these Club Meets.


 

Winter Carnival: 

The Winter Club is conducted in early August each year and attracts athletes from all over south-east Queensland.  The Winter Carnival is a popular event, being one of the first major carnivals of the Track and Field calendar outside of the metropolitan area.

Qualified officials are present at this event providing members with an opportunity to have their track times, throws and jumps officially recognized by Queensland Athletics at a local event.


Long Distance Running Group:

Interested runners meet twice each week.
Wednesday Mornings : Radar Hill Nat park, off the conection rd between Nambour & Yandina, meet at 6:00am
Sunday mornings: Alex Headlands SLSC at 6:00am.

Annual General Meeting (AGM):

The AGM is held towards the end of May each year.  The AGM will be seperate from the awards night as our season dosn't finish until the end of September, we will hold an awards night early in October.
